Little Pepper is a chinese restaurant in College Point, New York. It is listed at 18-24 College Point Blvd, College Point, NY 11356, which places it among the local businesses of College Point that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.
The business lists hours on 2 days of the week. Typical hours are 11:30 AMβ3 PM. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Little Pepper at (718) 939-7788; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, facebook.com.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.3 out of 5 from 367 reviews, which is a strong result for a chinese restaurant in College Point and suggests consistent service.
College Point is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and College Point follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The food here is a little on the bland side. Their onion fried rice is pretty good though. This restaurant is Michelin recommended but noticed it was from 2017. A lot of competition now w same type of spicy style foods. They need to revamp a little. Just seems like they are comfortable being average kinda feel in there. The service is ok. When we asked for stuff, the wait staff seemed annoyed. Price is kinda high for average food.

I have to say I was pretty disappointed with the food. The Sliced Pork Belly w. Chili Garlic Sauce was actually sweet, which threw me off. I lost interest after just one bite. The so-called βpaper-wrapped lambβ was really just cumin lamb served on a piece of foil. It wasnβt terrible, but it wasnβt particularly good either, and it was quite salty. The biggest letdown was the mapo tofu. The tofu had no flavor at all, and the sauce wasnβt numbing or spicy. Mapo tofu is supposed to be one of the signature dishes of Sichuan cuisine, and seeing it done so poorly was honestly frustrating. The rest of the dishes were more or less acceptable, but the fish had a noticeably not-so-fresh texture. Ironically, the best thing I had was the simple scallion fried rice, though even that was a bit salty. On the bright side, the owner clearly has some artistic talent, all the paintings in the restaurant were his own work.

Feeling lucky to try out before they close.. the owner told us they are about to retire. If u r around the area, visit once for authentic Chinese food! Plus, super nice pricy. Sharing some dishes I remember below. πππ₯Green onion fried rice was super special. Look might weird but smelled really good and the taste was simple but rich. π€β¨Fried shrimp was delicious. Simply pick the one you like. π²Fish soup was good too. π₯fried shredded potato in sour sauce was good toooooo! Highly recommend this one.

Holy S*** this place is fantastic. The flavors are balanced. The spicy dishes were hot, but not blinding hot, I could taste the food. I will keep returning to try all the things on the menu. Parking in the area is challenging, but totally worth the effort.
